Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources line to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects in Texas and the Southwest. The role includes owner’s engineer and design services for reciprocating engines, simple/combined cycle, and repowering projects for utilities, IPPs, and data centers.

The position emphasizes seller-doer responsibilities, client service, risk management, and strong leadership across North America. Office presence in Houston preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering design and construction experience on power/energy projects.
• Project management expertise including leadership, scheduling, controls, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Experience with EPC, DBB, and ECI delivery models.
• Knowledge of multi-discipline energy engineering services.
• Business development, proposal, and budget development experience.
• Ability to travel US and Canada as required.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, especially Excel; SharePoint/Teams helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to multi-discipline teams.
• Lead Energy projects/programs and ensure adherence to PM frameworks.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, clients, and vendors.
• Support business development, proposals, and client relationship efforts.
• Manage resources, schedule, budget, and quality to meet objectives.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; achieve utilization targets.
