Job summary

Upgrade Resources, a leading contracting firm with 75+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, and electrical solutions, seeks a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for electrical construction in Texas. You will oversee scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety on projects up to $10 million, partnering with the project superintendent and maintaining strong client relations.

Openings span North Texas, Central Texas, Gulf Coast and West Texas.

Qualifications

• 4-year mechanical or electrical engineering or construction science degree or commensurate experience
• OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within six months
• PMP or relevant certification preferred
• Experience managing electrical projects valued at $10 million+ (preferred)
• Ability to develop client and design-team relationships and pursue new business opportunities
• Location near active Texas sites (Carrollton, Fort Worth, Haltom City, Austin, Pflugerville, Waco, Temple, Houston, Amarillo, Abilene, Childress)

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction on electrical construction projects up to $10 million in value
• Lead project with project superintendent and coordinate with client, GC, and design team
• Staff key project positions and evaluate contractual scope of work
• Attend job progress meetings with client and architect/engineer team
• Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts; manage subcontractor performance
• Maintain master schedule and variance reports to control schedule/budget
• Manage contract costs, billings, collections, and change orders; pursue additional work
• Manage risk and implement corrective measures
• Develop new business opportunities for a client group or geographic area
• Ensure contract document control through closeout and as-built delivery
• Supervise and mentor assistant PMs and project engineers
• Ensure compliance with safety programs, terms, and codes
