Job summary

Upgrade Resources in Texas is seeking a Project Manager / Senior PM - Mechanical to lead mechanical construction efforts across multiple Texas markets. You will own scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety for projects up to $10 million, guiding the project superintendent and serving as the main client contact.

Openings cover North, Central, Gulf Coast and West Texas; compensation will reflect experience.

Qualifications

• 4-year mechanical engineering or construction science degree, or commensurate levels of technical training/experience.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical construction project management experience on diverse projects.
• OSHA-30 certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Working knowledge of mechanical HVAC and piping systems, codes and standards.
• PM skills across documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change orders, pricing, and negotiating.
• Ability to build client and design-team relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction on mechanical construction projects with accountability for scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Lead project development with the superintendent and supervise procurement and subcontracting.
• Manage client, general contractor, and architect/engineer communications and meetings.
• Prepare and control master schedules and variance reports to protect schedule and budget.
• Oversee cost control, billings, collections, and change orders; pursue additional work.
• Mentor and supervise junior project managers and engineers.
• Ensure safety programs and contract terms compliance.
