Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a General Branch Manager for Roofing Operations in Texas. You will launch and lead a new Texas branch with full P&L ownership, revenue growth, margins, and operational performance, backed by an established contractor.

This executive role requires building the local team, developing market strategy, and delivering profitable growth while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Travel within the market is expected.

Qualifications

• At least five years of leadership experience within commercial and/or residential roofing.
• Proven experience managing a branch, business unit, division, or multiple departments.
• Direct responsibility for a P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, margins, overhead, cash flow, and profitability.
• Documented track record of growing revenue while protecting or improving profit margins.
• Strong roofing sales, estimating, project management, and operational experience.
• Established business-development skills and the ability to build relationships within the Texas market.
• Strong knowledge of commercial low-slope and residential steep-slope roofing systems.
• Understanding of construction accounting, project financials, billing, and collections.
• Ability to hire, develop, and hold a team accountable.
• Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Build the Texas market presence and develop relationships with decision-makers.
• Generate business through networking, referrals, industry associations, and strategic outreach.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close profitable work.
• Take complete responsibility for branch revenue, expenses, margins, overhead, and profitability.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and growth plans.
• Oversee estimating for commercial and residential roofing projects.
• Develop pricing while maintaining margins and ensuring clean handoffs from sales to operations.
• Lead and develop the local branch team and ensure safety and quality.
