Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - MEP to lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related systems on complex, mission-critical projects in Texas.

You will coordinate construction activities, manage contractors and field personnel, monitor safety, quality and schedule, and ensure compliance with project specs and regulations. Collaborate with project leadership, engineers, designers, inspectors and clients to resolve field conflicts, drive turnover, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience managing MEP construction activities on large, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems installation and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls and related building systems throughout construction.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents to support proper installation and identify conflicts.
• Direct and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and project personnel to meet objectives.
• Develop and manage MEP activities in alignment with schedules, staffing, and sequencing.
• Monitor installation progress and address issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety, or system performance.
• Conduct field inspections to verify MEP installations meet drawings, specs, codes and quality standards.
• Coordinate MEP work with architecture, structures, civil and other disciplines to minimize delays.
• Lead coordination for equipment installation, energization, startup, testing, commissioning and turnover.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of critical MEP equipment and materials to align with schedules.
• Review progress, materials usage, costs and schedule performance; recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate MEP coordination meetings and communicate status, risks, and required actions to stakeholders.
• Support resolution of field conditions, design conflicts, change orders and constructability issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local codes, regulations and safety requirements.
