Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - MEP in Texas to lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems for mission-critical projects. You will coordinate activities, manage contractors, monitor schedules and quality, and ensure safety and code compliance.

The role requires strong leadership and extensive MEP coordination experience on large projects. You will work with multiple stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent construction experience considered.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.
• Experience coordinating MEP systems on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and related building systems throughout construction.
• Review MEP drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and docs to support proper installation and identify conflicts.
• Direct and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and project personnel.
• Develop and manage MEP construction activities aligned with schedules, milestones, and staffing.
• Monitor installation progress and address issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety, or performance.
• Conduct field inspections to verify MEP installations meet drawings, specs, codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate MEP activities with architecture, structure, civil, and other disciplines to minimize delays.
• Lead coordination for equipment installation, energization, startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Monitor procurement and delivery of critical MEP equipment to align with schedules.
• Review progress, material usage, costs, and schedule performance; recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate MEP coordination meetings and communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Support resolution of field conditions, design conflicts, change orders, and constructability issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and project standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel and foster collaboration.
