Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - MEP to lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems on mission-critical projects in Texas. You will coordinate construction activities, manage contractors and personnel, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project specs.

You will read drawings, review submittals, RFIs, and coordination with architects and other disciplines to prevent delays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, mechanical or electrical engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience managing MEP construction on large, complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety and environmental regs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem solving.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and keep schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate MEP systems throughout construction.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs to support installation.
• Direct contractors, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers to meet objectives.
• Develop and manage MEP activities to align with schedules.
• Monitor progress and address issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety.
• Conduct field inspections for conformance to drawings and codes.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, civil to minimize conflicts.
• Lead equipment installation, energization, startup, testing, turnover.
• Monitor procurement to align with schedules.
• Review progress and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate coordination meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support resolution of field conditions and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.
• Provide leadership and foster collaboration.
