Job summary

STV, Inc. in Texas is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - MEP to lead the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related systems on mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction experience.
• Experience managing MEP construction on large, complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and building systems installation and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical docs.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Understanding of sequencing, coordination, QC, commissioning, and closeout.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety, environmental regs, and standards.
• Ability to manage priorities, resolve field issues, and maintain schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and related systems throughout construction.
• Review MEP drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, and docs to support proper installation and identify conflicts.
• Direct and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers to meet project objectives.
• Develop and manage MEP activities aligned with schedules, staffing, and sequencing.
• Monitor installation progress and address issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety, or performance.
• Conduct field inspections to verify MEP installations meet drawings and codes.
• Coordinate MEP with architectural, structural, civil to minimize conflicts.
• Lead coordination for equipment installation, energization, startup, testing, commissioning, turnover.
• Monitor procurement of critical MEP equipment to align with schedules.
• Review progress, material use, costs, and schedule performance; recommend actions.
• Facilitate MEP coordination meetings and report risks and actions to stakeholders.
• Support resolution of field conditions, design conflicts, change orders, and constructability issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety, environmental regs, and project standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel, fostering collaboration and accountability.
