Job summary

Lancium, a Texas-based energy technology and infrastructure company, is seeking a Director of Firm Power Development to own firm power generation for its campuses, starting with gas and expanding to other firm technologies. The role spans technology selection, design basis, procurement, permitting, partner selection and construction readiness across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant development experience with firm, dispatchable generation and interconnections.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy and design basis for firm power projects, and select technologies based on cost, schedule, reliability, emissions, water needs, and equipment availability.
• Establish project milestones, budgets, and critical-path schedules aligned with customer requirements and power delivery dates.
• Run RFP processes, including scope, evaluation criteria, bidder management, and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements.
• Lead fuel supply strategy, including pipeline interconnection, firm transportation, and supply arrangements.
• Direct permitting and licensing strategies with internal specialists and external consultants.
• Lead development of firm power projects, coordinating with power and engineering teams on utility service, interconnections, substations, fuel supply, water and integration with campus infrastructure.
• Prepare projects for construction handoff and remain accountable for development matters through energization and customer delivery.
