Job summary

BMS Heavy Cranes, Inc. is seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver/Rigger to transport crane parts and heavy equipment to job sites, primarily in Texas, with Weatherford yard as base.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• 1+ year of experience operating commercial trucks in crane/heavy equipment.
• Proven ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and perform basic truck maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Clean driving record (past 3 years).
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing per DOT regulations.
• Overtime/on-call availability; travel up to 80%.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-class truck to transport crane parts, equipment, materials, and machinery to and from job sites.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is safe and operative.
• Load and unload cargo; secure items for transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members.
• Perform basic maintenance on the truck and report mechanical issues.
• Be available for emergency transport requests as needed.
• Work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment to ensure smooth operations.
