Job summary

Clackamas Community College seeks an Assessment and Placement Assistant to provide front‑line testing support and excellent customer service in the Testing and Placement Services area. This part‑time, non‑benefits‑eligible role will coordinate appointments, prepare spaces, assist with examinations, and enter scores into the SIS with careful attention to FERPA compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus 3 years teaching, training, testing, counseling or customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to exemplify integrity, customer service orientation, and flexibility within a college culture.
• Experience working with diverse populations and navigating FERPA/privacy requirements.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills for student information tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and front-line support for Testing and Placement Services; explain services and placement options to all stakeholders.
• Assist in space preparation, appointment coordination, and administration of examinations.
• Provide accurate information on policies and procedures and refer students to necessary resources.
• Ensure services comply with FERPA and college policies; safeguard student records.
• Maintain a reliable team presence and contribute to program improvement goals.
• Operate standard office equipment and appointment software.
• Assist students with common PC issues during testing sessions.
• Verify IDs and distribute/collect testing materials; monitor behavior and uphold integrity.
• Engage in initial placement conversations and review intake information with prospective students.
• Enter test scores and placement data into the SIS (Colleague); maintain accurate records.
• Carry out other duties and/or project work as assigned.
