Job summary

The New York Times, via Wirecutter, seeks an experienced testing logistics coordinator to run Long Island City test spaces and support newsroom-wide testing. You will manage calendars, set-ups/breakdowns, budgets, and cross-team workflows to keep testing efforts efficient and compliant.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in product testing, inventory, or project management
• Experience creating and maintaining internal systems, processes, and databases, esp. inventory tracking
• Ability to juggle priorities, assignments, and stakeholder relationships
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Airtable, Slack, Miro, and other project/database tools
• Experience managing a production, studio, or similar workspace to coordinate projects/events

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/testing projects in LIC testing facility, remotely, and offsite locations
• Manage day-to-day logistics for journalists: schedules, supplies, test plans, setup/breakdown
• Handle test product purchasing: tracking shipments, inventories, transactions, budgets, policy compliance
• Ensure compliance with legal/safety requirements around testing
• Collaborate with video/photo teams on projects involving testing or spaces
• Work with editorial ops and creative teams to document/iterate testing processes and workflows
• Plan and facilitate special testing projects/events (paid tester program, public testing events, media appearances)
• Support journalistic independence and NYT mission in testing activities
