Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Technology Support Analyst - Journey to manage the Undergraduate Testing Center and related computer labs in Chapel Hill, NC. Youll oversee operation, security, and reliability of testing spaces, while coordinating staff and maintaining software and hardware environments.

You will implement scheduling systems, train student staff, and generate data-driven insights to support planning and decision-making in a fast-paced academic setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and one year IT experience in related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Journey level requires an additional one year of experience; advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and continuously improve the Undergraduate Testing Center and computer lab environments.
• Ensure secure, reliable computing spaces and support high-stakes testing.
• Schedule and train staff; manage hardware and software environments; administer scheduling and booking systems.
• Provide data-driven insights to support planning and decision-making.

Education

Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree

Journey level: +1 year experience; Advanced level: +2 years experience
