Jobtailor is seeking a qualified engineer to contribute to the Hangar Capability Development Team in Dayton, OH, validating, verifying, testing, and developing requirements for open-air range and laboratory systems. The role involves planning verification tests with senior staff and the U.S.
Government customer, and leading verification activities with the PM, Technical Lead, CapDev engineers, and vendor engineers.
Contribute to the Hangar Capability Development Team to validate, verify, test, and develop requirements for open-air range and laboratory systems
Plan and execute requirements verification via testing with senior technical staff and the U.S. Government customer
Lead requirements verification activities with the PM, Technical Lead, CapDev engineers, and vendor engineers
Attend project technical meetings and review technical and project documentation
Design test cases and procedures for commonality across test infrastructure and capabilities
Develop models and guidelines for current and future system development efforts
Identify and communicate potential issues, risks, and concerns to the PM and Technical Lead
Review engineering design documents for acceptance criteria and analyze system-level architectures
Author technical reports and provide recommendations to DoD senior leadership
Support technical interchange meetings and provide feedback to vendors on requirements verification testing methodologies
Write and participate in verification, qualification, and acceptance tests for large system builds
Support, maintain, and document functionality for future software and firmware updates
Support and collaborate with CapDev partners
Travel up to 25%
Demonstrates expertise in requirements verification, testing methodologies, and technical documentation within the defense sector. Proficient in systems engineering, electronic design, and hands‑on EW testing, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
