Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced embedded software test engineer to develop and maintain automated and manual test frameworks for embedded systems.

You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to define test strategies, perform comprehensive testing, and mentor junior engineers while supporting release quality. US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software/system testing for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in developing and executing system test cases for embedded software.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network testing.
• Proficient in test automation using Python and Bash.
• Proficient in Git and CI workflows.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience with HIL and RF signal chain testing is a plus.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in developing and executing system test cases for embedded software
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network communication testing
• Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals and protocol testing/debugging
• Proficient in test automation using Python and Bash
• Proficient in Git source control and CI workflows
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience with automated builds, test execution, artifact management, and deployment pipelines
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system integration testing
• Experience testing radar, SIGINT, EW, autopilot, PNT/guidance, or unmanned systems
• Experience with RF signal chain testing (mixing, filtering, up/down conversion)
