Job summary

Job description

• Develop System Test Management Plans
• Serve as technical authority for integration and verification
• Build lab architectures directly from requirements
• Lead test readiness activities
• Integrate hardware and software interfaces
• Lead design efforts, test and evaluation, and transitions into production
• Develop architecture diagrams and products in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers, program leadership, and IPT leadership to capture mission needs and assess candidate architectures
• Develop architecture products and allocate requirements among elements of an integrated aerospace system
• Work with design and lab architecture teams to integrate new hardware and software in lab test environments
• Synthesize and translate program requirements into lab-specific configurations
• Provide technical expertise as the program matures through later testing stages
• Interface with external customer technical representatives, internal engineering associates, and program management
• Support requirements flow down, management, and verification
• Generate complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports
• Lead test technical responsibilities as test subject matter expert
• Coordinate testing across all test areas
• Lead teams through technical challenges and communicate status
• Travel up to 25% may be required

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience for Level 3, or Master's degree and 3 years, or Ph.D. and 1 year
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience for Level 4, or Master's degree and 6 years, or Ph.D. and 4 years
Active US Government Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrollment into Continuous Evaluation
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP PARs following commencement of employment
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
Preferred: Current applicable SAP clearance
Preferred: Active USG Top Secret or higher clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrollment into Continuous Evaluation
Preferred: Work experience in software and network development
Preferred: Experience and knowledge associated with a Systems Engineering Management Plan
Preferred: Experience with EVMS construct, CAM responsibilities, and ability to become CAM certified
Preferred: Knowledge of native cloud computing foundation and cloud-based environments
Preferred: Familiarity with software architecture development and testing using modern cloud-based and open architecture and platforms
Preferred: Familiarity with Agile software development methods and processes
Preferred: Experience with DoDAF and Open Mission Standards
Preferred: Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML, XPath, XSLT, and XSD
Preferred: Experience developing enterprise solutions for a SOA environment
Preferred: Excellent two-way communication skills
Preferred: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Preferred: Work Package Manager or Cost Account Manager experience, including work packages/name runs, IMS status/dates, QSST status, EVCRs, EACs, and VARs
