Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Worker C to implement preventative maintenance procedures for vessel equipment in accordance with customer and vendor requirements. The role focuses on executing PM tasks and documenting activities.

You will perform PM duties, address deficiencies with the foreman and vendors, and maintain PM records. Candidates should have 0-3 years experience in shipboard mechanics or electrical disciplines and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards and regulations.
• Good knowledge of testing equipment and measuring devices.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to effectively interact with customers, management, and employees in all areas within the division.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and completes all required Preventative Maintenance activities specified by Vendor, Customer, and department Foreman.
• Maintains Preventative Maintenance documents for all projects. Submits Procedures as assigned. Addresses deficiencies evidenced as a result of PM and works with dept. Manager and Vendors to correct deficiencies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: 0-3 years' experience in shipboard Mechanics and/or Electrical disciplines or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
