Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. is seeking a Worker B to perform Preventative Maintenance on vessel equipment in accordance with customer and Vendor requirements.

Responsibilities include executing PM tasks, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with managers and Vendors to fix deficiencies identified during maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in shipboard mechanics and/or electrical disciplines.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry regulations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, management, and employees.
• Electrical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements Preventative Maintenance activities as specified by Vendor, Customer, and department Manager.
• Maintains PM documents for all projects and submits procedures as assigned.
• Addresses deficiencies identified during PM and coordinates with dept. Manager and Vendors to resolve them.

Preventative Maintenance

Worker B

GENERAL FUNCTION: Implements Preventative Maintenance Procedures for all vessel equipment, in compliance with customer and Vendor requirements.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Conducts and completes all required Preventative Maintenance activities specified by Vendor, Customer, and department Manager.
• Maintains Preventative Maintenance documents for all projects. Submits Procedures as assigned.
• Addresses deficiencies evidenced as a result of PM and works with dept. Manager and Vendors to correct deficiencies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Considerable knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards and regulations. Good knowledge of testing equipment and measuring devices. Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Ability to effectively interact with customers, management, and employees in all areas within the division. Electrical experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

3-6 years’ experience in shipboard Mechanics and/or Electrical disciplines or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
