Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is helping to fill an Engineering Technician I position in Waukesha, WI on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 8:00 AM). The role supports engineering, manufacturing, and product development with a focus on testing and documentation.

The candidate will set up test equipment, perform diverse tests, and maintain records while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of electrical techniques and testing processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently; lift up to 50 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products per approved procedures.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical testing on various products.
• Interpret, record, and document test measurements (temperature, pressure, electrical data).
• Assist with fabrication of test equipment, prototypes, troubleshooting, and lab operations.
• Prepare test reports and maintain documentation; support audits and 5S initiatives.

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join their team on 3rd shift. As an Engineering Technician I, you will be part of the Engineering Laboratory supporting engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician I

Location: Wakesha, WI
Shift: 3rd (11:00PM to 8:00AM)

Pay Range: $23.00 to $26.00/hr

What's the Job?

• Set up test equipment and products in accordance with approved test procedures and specifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical testing on prototypes, existing products, and competitor products.
• Interpret, record, and document test measurements, including temperature, pressure, and electrical data.
• Assist with fabrication of test equipment, prototype assemblies, troubleshooting efforts, and laboratory operations.
• Prepare test reports, maintain documentation in database systems, and support laboratory audits and 5S initiatives.
