Job summary

Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement is seeking a Product Test Technician to support testing and validation of products in the engineering labs. You will create test protocols, participate in building test systems, and ensure procedures align with industry standards and codes.

You will collaborate with engineering on testing methods, analyze results, and help with prototyping and equipment maintenance. Strong documentation, CAD reading, and lab data skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

1-3 years in technical manufacturing/testing fields or equivalent education/experience.
Proven problem-solving with root-cause analysis.
Experience with formal lab reports and test documentation.
Experience in multi-project, cross-functional environments.
Ability to read detail drawings and create/modify CAD files.
Experience with measurement and inspection equipment.
Operation and troubleshooting of lab equipment.

Responsibilities

Create or optimize test protocols to measure performance against specs.
Design, build, and maintain lab test systems.

Job description

Product Test Technician

Responsibilities

Creates or optimizes test protocols for testing equipment to measure performance to product specification and support product development and discovery.
Participate in the design, build and maintenance of test system used in the engineering labs.
Design, develop and execute test protocols relating to industry standards and building codes.
Consults with engineering regarding testing procedures and methods to ensure robust techniques and review all test results as required.
Participate in formal risk analysis and guide development and test of components and systems.
Participate in the competitive product evaluation process.
Investigate and recommend test equipment needs and participate in purchasing and implementation of new and upgraded equipment.
Work with Engineering in the development of product validation methods, plans and processes.
Support activities to drive preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of equipment.
Support prototyping of new products with regards to machining, fabrication, and 3D printing.
Actively tracks status of lab reports and lab improvements.
Assists in the shipping and receiving of lab deliveries.
Create purchase requisitions for lab equipment and consumables.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in technical fields with regards to manufacturing and testing or combination of education and experience.

Proficiency with reading detail drawings and modifying or creating CAD files.

Ability to create and build prototypes from detail drawings and models.
Experience with data acquisition and GCODE.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
Detail oriented, self-motivated, hands-on individual.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
