Test Technician
Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical assemblies, per applicable documentation and quality workmanship standards.
Job Summary
- Perform engineering tests to collect and evaluate product data.
- Support troubleshooting of assembly and schematic issues; recommend design changes.
- Validate accuracy and sequencing of technical test procedures.
- Provide technical support to customers and resolve product issues.
- Prepare technical reports documenting test procedures and results.
- Conduct tests according to established procedures and record results.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions at component and subassembly levels.
- Solder components to PCB assemblies and wire complex prototypes.
- Assemble electronic and electromechanical devices using technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hazardous waste handling requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform other tasks and assignments as needed to support engineering and production teams.
Required Skills and Education
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 3 years in manufacturing setting with knowledge of products.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to operate electronic test equipment specifically including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital volt meters.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings.
- Basic soldering skills.
- Ability to build electronic assemblies.
- Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Associate’s degree in electronics technology preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
- J-STD-001 or other Electronic certifications.
