Job summary

Blue Origin in Van Horn, TX is seeking a hands-on Technician to operate and maintain complex test facilities, ensuring readiness and reliability for development milestones. You will work with engineers on test stands, perform preventive maintenance, and support installation and wiring of test articles and instrumentation.

This role requires reading drawings, welding or fabrication as needed, and strict adherence to safety practices in a high-energy, cryogenic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with fluid/pneumatic or propellant-like systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with common mechanical tools and equipment (torque wrenches, tube benders, flaring tools).

Responsibilities

• Operate test facility systems and perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Assist installation, alignment, and removal of test articles, fixtures, and support hardware.
• Install and troubleshoot instrumentation and data acquisition systems; interpret instrumentation readings.
