Job summary

Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania is seeking a Healthcare Scheduling Specialist to arrange tests for patients, coordinate MRI/CT procedures, and manage pre-visit screening. This role emphasizes accuracy in scheduling and patient communication.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably one year of surgery scheduling experience in a healthcare setting. On-site hours are Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling patients for tests.
• Instruct patients about the MRI & CT Machines and what to wear for the test.
• Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests, including bone scans, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ultrasounds, etc.
• Completing all appropriate screening sheets to schedule.
• Reviewing and confirming patients screening sheets to ensure they can have an MRI.
• Scheduling patients for follow-up appointments after tests.
• Follow physician protocols for scheduling appointments.
• Other duties as assigned – i.e., working out of the virtual tank.

Schedule patients for tests internally, with OIP and external providers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Scheduling patients for tests.
• Instruct patients about the MRI & CT Machines and what to wear for the test.
• Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests, including bone scans, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ultrasounds, etc.

HOURS

• Monday - Thursday: 8AM-5PM, Friday: 8AM-4:30PM
