Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Test Engineer II/III/IV to sustain and upgrade the Test Operations Maintenance team at Launch Site One in Van Horn, TX. You will manage maintenance plans, troubleshoot hardware failures, and support activations of facility upgrades for liquid propellant rocket engine testing.

A strong focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement guides daily work. The role requires hands-on maintenance, collaboration across sites, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
  • Experience with high-pressure, cryogenic, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and data acquisition.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Draft maintenance plans and procedures for test facility hardware.
  • Identify preventative maintenance and required support equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support functional testing of components (valves, regulators, etc.).
  • Coordinate with vendors for preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Lead readiness reviews and safety audits as needed.
  • Develop training for engineers and technicians; oversee onboarding.
  • Maintain inventory strategies for critical equipment and spares.
