COMPA Industries, Inc. seeks a Test Specialist for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, PA. The role focuses on certifying hardware/software changes for the A4W FITE platform and validating test programs against plant responses.

You will cross-train on the A1B FITE platform and learn the simulation software while supporting field changes at Bettis and traveling to NNPP sites twice a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• EOOW/PPWO/EWS qualification required.
• Able to cross-train on A1B platform.
• Able to learn the simulation software platform.
• Willingness to travel to Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program sites twice yearly.

Responsibilities

• Certify hardware and software field changes for the A4W FITE platform prior to deployment.
• Run test programs focused on plant operations and verify FITE values against expected plant response.
• Cross-train on the A1B FITE platform.
• Learn and operate the FITE simulation software platform.
• Support other groups developing field changes on Bettis’ FITE preproduction units.
• Travel semiannually to other Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program sites.
