Sigma Defense Systems in San Diego, CA seeks a Test Engineer to join our mission-critical network security team. You will develop test strategies, execute plans, and validate hardware/software in DoD environments while collaborating with cyber, systems, and software engineers.

Responsibilities include shipboard testing, root-cause analysis, and documenting results; a U.S. citizenship and security clearance are required, with sponsorship possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of test engineering experience.
• Experience creating test strategies and plans for networks.
• Experience with regression testing and defect documentation.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/hold a security clearance.
• Security+ or CISSP and OS certification(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain network equipment and services.
• Develop and execute test plans for VLANs, routing, and WANs.
• Collaborate with system, software, and cybersecurity engineers.
• Conduct diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and shipboard testing.
• Document results with steps, logs, and telemetry.
