Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NSWCDD Dahlgren team in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/test experience, Linux proficiency, strong requirements traceability, and excellent communication for frequent customer interaction. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfort with reviewing C++ code and working in Linux environments.
• Proven ability to trace requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
