Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NSWCDD Dahlgren on-site team. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop detailed test plans, and execute tests across multiple levels while collaborating with developers and government customers.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software/systems testing, proficiency in test automation, Linux, and strong requirements traceability. U.S. citizenship and on-site work at NSWC-Dahlgren are required.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience.
- Experience running/writing automation scripts.
- Comfortable reviewing C++ code and testing in Linux.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
- Execute manual and automated testing across static, dynamic, integration, and system levels.
- Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and collaborate with developers.
- Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
- Interface with government customers daily and participate in Agile meetings.
