SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer for the Naval NSWCDD Dahlgren on-site role. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels, collaborating with developers and government customers to resolve defects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software testing, proficiency in test automation, Linux, and strong requirements traceability, with excellent communication for daily customer interaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Strong requirements traceability and defect tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing across static, dynamic, integration, and system levels.
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
