Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Test Engineer for its NSWC Dahlgren on-site team in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop detailed test plans aligned to requirements, and execute manual and automated testing across levels while collaborating with developers and government customers to resolve defects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of software/testing experience, Linux proficiency, strong requirements traceability, and excellent communication skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to trace requirements to test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
• Strong teamwork and multi-tasking under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing at multiple levels.
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily; occasionally present testing docs.
