Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NSWC Dahlgren team in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans mapped to requirements, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels while collaborating with developers and government customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software/systems testing, proficiency in Linux, and strong requirements traceability. U.S. citizenship and on-site work at NSWCDD are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code
• Comfortablility reviewing C++ code
• Experience using Linux systems
• Requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers
• Strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities
• Interface with government customers daily
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation
