Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Test Engineer with strong electrical engineering and software development skills to join a hypersonics team in Huntsville. You will design and automate test procedures for avionics hardware, develop test software, and work across electrical, software, and mechanical disciplines.

The role requires experience in test automation, CI/CD, PCB design, RF testing, and aerospace/test environments, with DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methods.
• Experience with PCB design and troubleshooting (embedded processor, microcontroller, or FPGA).
• Experience with RF testing and calibration in aerospace/defense environments.
• Knowledge of environmental testing procedures and databases for test data collection.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab and CAD tools.
• Understanding of statistical analysis for test validation and production test systems.
• Familiarity with IPC/J-STD standards and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer with electrical engineering expertise to join a Hypersonics team. The ideal candidate will combine electrical engineering knowledge with software development capabilities to help design, implement, and maintain automated test systems for flight-critical avionics. This role requires a blend of hardware and software expertise to validate complex electronic systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Work Environment

Work will be performed in both an office environment and an engineering lab environment. Some lab work will also be in a secure space.
