Do you have a passion for quality and a drive for finding flaws? Are you comfortable in writing code and designing tests?

Do you like to tinker with hardware and enjoy solving complex technical challenges?

If so, we want you as part of our growing Verification and Validation team! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, writing automated tests, and collaborating with developers to ensure our software is high-quality and bug-free.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for healthcare software applications and devices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient test automation scripts using a variety of frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, diagnose, and resolve defects.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest testing tools and methodologies.
• Coordinate with Barco's global R&D test sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming languages, preferably Python.
• 2+ years of experience in software testing, including understanding of testing principles (e.g., black-box, white-box testing).

Competencies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with network-connected devices and applications.
• Proficiency in writing automated test scripts using popular frameworks.
• Knowledge of Linux or Linux-based systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with software testing automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).

Bonus Points

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
