Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Test Design Engineer II (fixed term) to lead development, qualification, and production test campaigns for New Glenn spaceflight systems. You will own planning and execution of component tests, author procedures, and review test data with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and quality.

You will collaborate with design and operations teams, manage test fixtures and data acquisition, and drive efficiency while delivering hardware for spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in component testing and data analysis.
  • Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail and level of organization.
  • Strong written, personal, and computer skills. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at the executive leadership level and on the shop floor.
  • Successfully managed simultaneous project schedules.
  • Passion for spaceflight and space exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, qualification, and production test campaigns on New Glenn systems.
  • Plan and execute individual component and subassembly tests from fabrication to delivery.
  • Author and maintain detailed test procedures and conduct readiness reviews.
  • Collaborate with design, operations, and technicians to implement tests on appropriate stands.
  • Identify fixtures, equipment, and data acquisition needed for testing scope.
  • Drive efficiency in testing to increase throughput while maintaining safety and quality.
