Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aircraft engine manufacturer, offers an Engineering Development Program for interns converting to full-time employees. You will support engine tests and validation, learning engine systems and applying analytical tools to data from development campaigns.

The program includes rotations across disciplines, with opportunities to travel to test sites. A bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering is required, and readiness for first shift and occasional travel

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical/aero test environment or engine data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science & Technology obtained by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for development engine tests and functional validation across P&W product lines, focusing on engine systems understanding, learning and validation through analytical tools and data acquisition.
• Develop test plans, instrumentation coordination, pre-test predictions, test procedures and data management; perform post-test analysis and reporting.
• Participate in discipline improvement activities and knowledge management.
• Collaborate daily with EDSI Systems Analysis Groups, Module Centers, Controls, Instrumentation, IT and Product Validation Groups; travel and off-shift/weekend work as needed.
