Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Territory Account Manager for Northern California to drive growth with distributors, dealers, and installers. You will own the territory, promote Pentair brands (Sta-Rite, Myers, Berkeley), and build strong relationships with local water professionals.

This full‑time role requires 5+ years of outside sales in a distribution environment, comfort with a 2‑step channel, and the ability to travel 50–60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of outside sales experience and territory management.
• Experience with indirect sales environments and channel partners is preferred.
• Experience with water/fluid handling/plumbing products is a plus.
• Ability to use CRM software for lead gen and documentation.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow Pentair business by building relationships with local communities of well drillers, plumbers, irrigation specialists, pump installers, and distributors.
• Execute distribution and dealer sales strategies to increase revenue and improve return on sales for water supply, disposal, and irrigation segments.
• Build relationships with distributor partners and conduct technical presentations, training seminars, and on-site support.
• Develop strong technical understanding of products to address customer needs and promote brand awareness among distributors.
• Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and recommend solutions.
