Job summary

Interstate Utility Trailer in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a District Service Sales Representative to drive new business and grow service and maintenance solutions for fleets and commercial accounts.

You will prospect, build relationships, and manage a solid pipeline while meeting monthly and annual sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, and staying informed on industry trends and competitor activity.

Qualifications

• Proven outside sales experience, ideally in the truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle industry.
• Familiarity with trailer service and maintenance strongly preferred
• Clean MVR and comfortable spending time on the road visiting customers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you can build rapport quickly
• Self-motivated and able to manage your territory with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate with the service team to deliver on customer commitments

Responsibilities

• Prospect and conquer new customers while maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts
• Sell trailer service, preventative maintenance, and repair solutions to trucking companies, fleets, leasing companies, and commercial transportation accounts
• Cold call and conduct in-person visits to build and manage a strong customer pipeline
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Deliver excellent customer service and serve as the go-to resource for your accounts
• Stay current on industry trends, trailer service developments, and competitor activity
• Maintain accurate customer records and activity logs
• Perform other duties as assigned
