Job summary

Sam Rust Seafood, Inc. is seeking an outside sales representative to grow our Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Portsmouth market. You will promote Sam Rust products and build strong relationships with decision makers at restaurants, hotels, caterers, and retailers.

The ideal candidate lives in the area, has 3 years of wholesale food service sales experience, and can travel regularly to client sites. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3 years of either inside or outside sales experience in wholesale food service or culinary products.
• Reside in the designated territory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment and post-offer testing.

Responsibilities

• Sells SRS products to restaurants, hotels, caterers, retail establishments, etc.
• Develops new business and penetrates existing business in order to achieve sales growth within the territory.
• Works to anticipate problems before they occur and solves major customer issues quickly when they occur.
• Maintains and develops outstanding customer relationships through visits, calls, and correspondence.
• Travels to current and potential customer sites on a regular, recurring basis.
