Job summary

Sika is seeking a dynamic Sales Associate Trainee to join the Concrete Sales Team in the United States. You will prospect within an assigned region, sell Sika products, and support contractors with technical guidance and specification development.

This onsite role offers a path to career growth within a global specialty chemicals leader. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and strong relationship-building abilities, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, entrepreneurship, engineering, marketing or related field.
• Interest in construction/building materials industry.
• Ability to build relationships with distributors, contractors, architects and end users.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Understand value selling and provide quality customer service.
• Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
• Willingness to relocate temporarily for training.

Responsibilities

• Attains or exceeds sales and profit goals by developing customers via leads and marketing initiatives.
• Develops and sells the value proposition; collaborates with Marketing.
• Conducts prompt follow-up and qualification of leads.
• Builds contractor relationships and expands the customer base.
• Gains thorough knowledge of Sika products and applications for customers.
• Supports contractors during bidding and installation of Sika products.
• Assists marketing at trade shows, exhibits and events.
• Develops architectural/engineering contacts to create project specifications.
• Shares competitive knowledge and market activities.
