Job summary

Mars is seeking a field sales professional to manage a defined territory, build relationships with vendors, sell Mars products and merchandise retail outlets. You’ll coordinate the sales department and coach associates on strategies to grow sales and close deals.

You will execute merchandising, ensure shelves are stocked, maintain product distribution, and use handheld data tools to track orders and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably with CPG products.
• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be mobile.

Responsibilities

• Sell presentation programs, booking sheets and new product to customers along with suggesting orders and actual orders.
• Continuously guarantee that promotional and seasonal compliance is met within designated retail outlets.
• Maintain distribution of assigned products.
• Execute merchandising excellence by ensuring that shelves are stocked, sell specific shelving strategies, and optimize freshness and quality of products on the shelf.
• Maintain an adequate stock of relevant merchandising supplies and POS materials.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate data through hand-held technology as determined by the business.
