Job summary

Advanced Pump and Equipment, a UFT company, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to serve municipal and industrial customers across Central Montana (Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls). You will act as a technical consultant, lead consultative selling, conduct site visits, and present engineered pump solutions.

This field role requires 3+ years of outside sales in relevant markets, ability to read blueprints, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel throughout Central Montana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales experience in municipal, industrial equipment, pumps, or related mechanical field.
• Experience with consulting engineers, plant personnel, and end users.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent).
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and understand fluid dynamics or mechanical systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to work independently in a remote territory.
• Willingness to travel throughout Central Montana for client meetings and site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Actively prospect and secure capital improvement projects and new accounts in municipal and industrial markets across Central Montana.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct site visits and equipment audits to recommend optimal pump and equipment solutions based on flow, head, and fluid properties.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams to prepare technical quotes and bids.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regional project developments.
• Utilize CRM for all prospecting and customer activities.
• Attend product and selling skills seminars and participate in local industry associations and tradeshows.
