Job summary

Portwest, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover Tennessee on a full-time basis. The role leverages PPE/workwear experience to sell Portwest products to distributors across the territory.

You will build quality relationships, conduct daily face-to-face meetings, identify high-potential customers, develop sales plans and proposals, and promote our products at events while achieving growth in the region.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience selling PPE or safety wear.
• Experience with manufacturers, distributors, or agents.
• Willingness to travel across the designated region.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors.
• Identify high-potential customers and plan development.
• Prepare proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Promote Portwest products at events and meetings.
• Follow up after meetings to close sales.
• Gather market intelligence and feedback for the business.
• Promote distributor promotions.
