Job summary

ICONIX Waterworks is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow the customer base within the California territory. You will build relationships with contractors, municipalities, engineers and industry partners, visit job sites, prepare quotes, and move opportunities through the sales cycle.

You will travel up to 50% of the time, understand customer needs, recommend products and solutions, and collaborate with Inside Sales and branch leadership to ensure smooth order fulfillment and growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales or related roles (territory sales, business development, account management).
• Experience in waterworks, construction, utilities, wholesale distribution preferred.
• Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their businesses, projects, and needs.
• Grow territory by proactively prospecting for new customers and expanding existing accounts.
• Visit customers, job sites, contractors, municipalities, and partners to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities.
• Recommend products and solutions that deliver value and help customers complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Prepare accurate quotes for all required products and materials for bids and projects.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales and branch leadership to coordinate needs from inquiry to completion.
