Job summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to maintain and expand the assigned customer base across an identified territory, including Washington, IA and surrounding areas.

You will drive sales, build relationships with mixed-practice veterinarians, agricultural retailers, and producers, and coordinate with sales support to achieve budgeted revenue and gross profit goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business and/or Animal Health or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Exceptional customer service and organization skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to analyze financial information.
• Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• General computer proficiency including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales within a defined territory and achieve budgeted goals.
• Regularly call on veterinarians, agricultural retailers, and producers.
• Retain and grow customer accounts and expand market share.
• Understand customer needs and recommend products/solutions.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries and solve problems.
• Maintain territory records and participate in financial documentation.
• Collaborate with sales support to grow the territory.
• Travel within a regional area as required.
