Job summary

Mid-States Bolt & Screw, headquartered in Lansing, MI, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow an established book of business in the Lansing area. You will develop new opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and help expand our market presence in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment.

You will work closely with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure exceptional service and order accuracy, meet with customers regularly to understand their needs, and

Qualifications

• Previous outside sales experience in industrial distribution, fasteners, MRO, or related industries.
• Self-motivated with strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to manage existing accounts while actively developing new business.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable working independently and managing territory activity.
• Proficient computer and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established book of business throughout the assigned territory.
• Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
• Work closely with Inside Sales and Operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service and order accuracy.
• Meet with customers regularly to understand their needs and provide product solutions.
• Prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, and maintain ongoing customer communication.
• Maintain strong product knowledge of industrial fasteners, tools, and related products.
• Represent Mid-States Bolt & Screw professionally in the field and within the community.
