Job summary

Mid-States Bolt & Screw in Lansing, MI is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow an established territory. You will build strong customer relationships and drive growth in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment.

The role calls for meeting with customers, developing new business opportunities, and partnering with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure exceptional service and order accuracy.

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience in industrial distribution, fasteners, MRO, or related industries.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to manage existing accounts while actively developing new business.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable working independently and managing territory activity.
• Proficient computer and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established book of business throughout the assigned territory.
• Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
• Coordinate with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure excellent customer service and order accuracy.
• Meet with customers regularly to assess needs and provide product solutions.
• Prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, and maintain ongoing communication with customers.
• Maintain strong product knowledge of industrial fasteners, tools, and related products.
• Represent Mid-States Bolt & Screw professionally in the field and in the community.
