Job summary

VSP Vision in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking an accomplished ophthalmic sales professional to sell and service our branded products within a defined territory, managing existing accounts and developing new prospects in the private practice theater.

You will formulate strategic business plans, educate doctors on lens products, travel over 50%, and collaborate with marketing to address customer needs. Excellent communication and a proven revenue track record are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two years or more direct outside sales experience.
• Broad knowledge of ophthalmic lenses and coatings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated track record meeting sales/revenue goals with major account responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Sell and service Optics' branded products by managing existing accounts and developing new prospects.
• Formulate and implement strategic business plans for individual accounts to retain and educate on premium lens products.
• Cultivate and develop strong relationships with doctors and their staff.
• Educate customers on industry trends and new lens products to inform business decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of products/services to provide accurate information.
• Act as liaison between Lab and customers to ensure service levels are met.
• Collaborate with marketing/product development to address customer needs and analyze market data.
• Document sales activity and monitor account growth within territory.
• Develop and deliver presentations to doctors' staff.
