Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Sales Representative to execute a sales plan within a defined territory. You will build relationships, present Sysco Specialty Meat Group offerings, take orders, and collaborate with inside sales to maximize sales and gross profit.

You will visit customers, respond to needs, and keep data current on profiles, pricing, and items. A high school diploma is required; culinary/business/marketing degrees are a plus, with 2 years in food service or sales preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-years of food service or sales experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Willingness to visit customers in person and present solutions.
• Knowledge of product applications, market conditions and competitors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory.
• Make in-person visits and presentations to customers.
• Take customer orders with sales and GP/Stop maximization in mind.
• Coordinate orders with inside sales partners and ensure timely processing.
• Address customer problems promptly and provide solutions.
• Review stock, transport issues and margins to identify improvements.
• Monitor sales and margin reports for opportunities.
• Stay informed about product applications and market trends.
• Participate in training and customer events.
• Develop accounts payable contacts and liaison with AR for collections.
