Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Edison, NJ is seeking a sales professional for Sysco Specialty Meat Group to drive growth and profitability in an assigned territory. Build relationships with existing and prospective customers, present product solutions, and secure orders aligned with GP goals.

Role requires strong meat/seafood knowledge, consultative selling, and self-motivation with ability to manage time and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; degree preferred in culinary arts, business, marketing or related fields.
• 2 years sales or food service experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of meat and seafood categories and related markets.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers in the territory.
• Make in-person visits and presentations to customers.
• Take orders with a focus on sales and gross profit maximization.
• Coordinate orders with inside sales and manage pricing accuracy.
• Analyze sales and margin reports to identify improvement opportunities.
