POSITION OVERVIEW

Daytrip is seeking an experienced and resourceful Bay Area Territory Manager to grow the Daytrip brand in a premier market. This role focuses on selling products by maintaining and expanding the customer base across natural, conventional andconvenience channels; working with distributors; supporting events, demos, and marketing efforts.

Territory includes the greater Bay Area: San Francisco, Alameda, Walnut Creek , Marin and Sonoma County, San Jose, and Santa Cruz County. Considerable drive commute time to reach geographical coverage, with Hotel/overnight travel for markets 2 + hours from San Francisco. Work primarily within 30 miles or 1 hour drive from San Francisco with monthly /quarterly visits to outlier areas. Must reside in Bay Area to be considered for this role.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Through is #1. Always deliver what you promise.
  • Sales Representative will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned sales territory, expanding total brand footprint and points of distribution.
  • Actively call on accounts 5 days per week. Minimum 36 hours in trade time (at accounts and or events) per week.
  • Hit defined sales goals and revenue growth targets.
  • Work autonomously to maintain current business and develop new business.
  • Complete daily account visit reports, surveys and weekly reporting as required.
  • Perform samplings, tastings, and evening promotions on a as needed basis.
  • Outreach in the communities to identify on-premise locations, alternate channels, events and lifestyle locations and organizations to meet people at the point of energy to sample – providing a relevant first hand product experience that intersects with their lifestyle
  • Passionately educate buyers, store personnel, partners, distributors and customers about the brand and product

RETAIL SALES MANAGEMENT

  • Secure display/secondary space, shelf space and share of cold box. Improve Daytrip in the cold cases, mid-shelf.
  • Secure secondary points of distribution in store, build displays, end caps, reset cold boxes, and increase visibility through point-of-sale.
  • Maintain positive business relationships and communication with account owners, managers, and buyers.
  • Identify and successfully sell to new customers.
  • Develop proposals for prospective customers and deliver sales presentations within brand framework.
  • Provide excellent customer service through developing a regular route/call pattern, offering after sale follow-through, Daytrip brand and product education and POS Materials
  • Introduce and sell new product offerings, including activities to support sell through.
  • Create and implement programs designed specifically for on-premise accounts.

DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT

  • Work with distributors to build awareness of the brand, sales plans, account profiles and consumer targets.
  • Partner with distributors to ensure fulfillment of accounts’ needs.
  • Work with distributor reps to open new accounts; sell in incremental flavors and packages, etc. by doing ride a longs / ride with or distribution drives.
  • Make sure distributors have enough POS materials and each rep has the necessary monthly amount.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years’ experience in the beverage industry.
  • Excellent computer and smartphone skills.
  • High confidence with pricing, margin, and field sales programs
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Google sheets
  • A valid driver’s license & a safe driving record.
  • A registered, insured, and dependable vehicle.Daytrip Company Car is an option only after 3 months of proven success and sales to back it up.
  • The ability to drive to and from accounts continuously (mileage reimbursement per mile driven on record)
  • Willing to Travel.
  • The ability to lift and move cases frequently, climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to travel daily, work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of products, differences to competition, and the general beverage industry.
  • Flexibility to change direction quickly and “think on your feet.”
  • Has a sense of urgency and is willing to 'roll up their sleeves’ and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
